Coolidge

Located halfway between Phoenix and Tucson, the City of Coolidge is the commercial center of the Arizona's cotton industry. The beauty of Coolidge extends to the Casa Grande area ruins and provides visitors an opportunity to witness the amazing accomplishments of the Hohokam and the natural setting provides an excellent introduction to the native Sonoran Desert.

Coolidge Education

The Coolidge Unified School District #12 is positioned to become one of the fastest growing school districts in Arizona.

District #12 provides a full academic program of both regular and special education serving grades K-12 as well as vocational and alternative high school educational services. The district's unique interscholastic and intramural programs are supported by an enthusiastic community.

Florence

The Town of Florence known as the " Cowboy Cradle of the Southwest" was founded in 1866 and is the fifth oldest town in the state.  Florence is a rural community situated in the central portion of Pinal County, Arizona about 45 minutes away from the Phoenix and Tucson metropolitan areas.  Florence, at an elevation of 1,493 feet, has been the county seat since its formation in 1875.

Florence is a small community that is rapidly growing.  The projected regional growth trend places Florence directly in the path of explosive development.  By 2015, it is anticipated that the Town of Florence real estate area will be home to an additional 100,000 residents.

The Florence business district is still on Main Street and, aside from the obvious improvements downtown remains much as it must have been in the 1880s. Both the visitors and residents appreciate the diversity of the community. Florence listings area offers the convenience and lifestyle available in a small western community, yet is only 45 minutes away from the Phoenix and Tucson metropolitan areas.


Florence Education

Florence Unified School District is located in Florence, Arizona and serves over 6,100 K-12 students. While located within easy access of both Phoenix and Tucson, this school district takes pride in its small town atmosphere with its supportive community and ideal climate.

The Florence Unified School District is proud of their school's strong academic, vocational, and athletic achievements and are continually striving to raise the bar to assure that each of student reaches his or her highest potential.

Central Arizona College District serves all of Pinal County Arizona. The college, which is 18 miles west of Florence, has branches at Signal Peak, Aravaipa, and Apache Junction. Community education courses, including both credit and non-credit special interest classes are offered in Florence. Arizona State University, a four-year institution with undergraduate and graduate programs and an enrollment of more than 40,000 is located 47 miles north. The University of Arizona, a four-year institution with an enrollment of 35,000, is located 67 miles south.


Florence Parks and Recreation

It is a privilege for the Parks and Recreation Department to provide organized ongoing activities and programs implemented through the Senior Center, fitness Center, general recreation, youth and adult sports, aquatics, special interest classes, and special events. The Florence Parks and Recreation department also maintains various facilities and parks. The department will provide balanced opportunities for all residents through enhanced recreational, social, educational, and cultural activities.


Florence Local Government

The Town of Florence operates under a Council/Manager form of government. Florence real estate area has three branches of government:  legislative, executive, and judicial.   The Mayor and Council act as the legislative branch by setting policy.  The Town Manager acts as the executive branch by implementing policies council sets through day to day operations and oversees Town Departments. The Municipal Court serves as the judicial branch, and while the Town Council appoints the Municipal Judge the Arizona Supreme Court oversees the operations of the Municipal Court.

Queen Creek

Casa Grande

The natural beauty of the low desert and mountains serve as a backdrop to this bustling city with the “hometown feel.” Casa Grande is an active growth area with a balance of opportunities, including agriculture, retail, manufacturing, tourism and service industries. From its humble, rural beginnings and a community spirit that would not die, it has developed into a city with all the amenities and it has retained the same small-town charm that has always made it so exceptional.

History
Founded in 1879 and incorporated in 1915, Casa Grande is named for the famous Hohokam Indian ruins 20 miles to the northeast. Casa Grande is the second largest community in Pinal County with an estimated year-round population of more than 35,000 residents.

Location
Casa Grande is 45 minutes from Phoenix to the northwest, and an hour from Tucson to the southeast and is the interstate hub to the major markets in the southwest, as it is strategically located at the intersection of two major interstates, I-10 and I-8.

Parks and Recreation
Casa Grande offers a broad range of facilities and activities including a senior center, museums, library, fitness clubs, and golf courses. The City of Casa Grande has three mini parks, 13 neighborhood parks, four community parks and three regional parks.

Numerous shopping options area are available in Casa Grande, from retailers, specialty stores, shops in the historic downtown district, the Outlets at Casa Grande to unique products available from local artisans and artists.

State-of-the art medical care is available at Casa Grande Regional Medical Center, area clinics and primary-care specialists and other health services.

Casa Grande Elementary School District (Grades K-8)
The Casa Grande Elementary School District, is very proud of the 7,500 students and staff in our schools. The District has been recognized over the years with various awards and other recognition, as well as being recognized by the Rodel Foundation for its success in improving academic achievement.

The Casa Grande Elementary School District operates seven elementary schools (Cottonwood, Evergreen, Palo Verde, Saguaro, Cholla, Ironwood, Mesquite), two middle schools (Casa Grande Middle School and Cactus Middle School), and one alternative school. By 2006, an additional middle school and one additional elementary school will be built.

Casa Grande Union High School District
The Casa Grande Union High School District serves the educational communities of Casa Grande, Arizona City, Stanfield, and Sacaton. The district comprises 1,280 square miles and provides instruction in three programs located at two campuses.

In the fall of 1997, a new 2,800-student high school opened offering a traditional, comprehensive high-school program developed into smaller learning communities to better serve students as individuals. A wide range of subjects including a college-preparatory program, special and gifted education, college level course, and an award winning career and technical education program are provided for students at the main campus.
